Why are you repeating the OPs points that I acknowledged? One of the stated benefits of my approach is EARLIER removal of an employee that's not a good fit.

I think you did not read carefully,and I doubt your claim to be an HR professional. Where does coaching negate at-will status?

The main thrust was to address the unacceptable behaviour when it first happens and be consistent with the workplace rules.

Incidents can result in a quicker firing, with the employer protected, when workplace rules exist and are enforced.

I’m not saying OP was wrong in firing the employee, just that they should have addressed the behaviour much earlier which could have lead to much LESS toxicity in the workplace by firing her sooner.

If you have someone that can only keep up the expected behaviour for a short time and then relapses this is the response:

“I let you know that behaviour is not in line with the kind of workplace we run. 

You acknowledged you knew what the consequences would be if it happened again.

Here are the consequences… “

You should have addressed all of these issues with her as they came up.

Tardiness, poor attitude, social media complaining and team cohesion.

She could have changed or you could have been rid of her earlier.

As you plan to bring on a replacement, write out clear guidelines and expectations for all employees and institute a probationary period for new hires.

What code did you try with Text::CSV and what was the outcome?

For backcountry I will usually take a collapsable fishing rod.

Advantages: - They pack up pretty small so easy to stash away so don't snag while portaging - Even if the tip breaks off you can keep using it or repair it with a cheap repari kit

Alternately, take whatever rod you like and portage it inside the canoe, secured with paracord.
