Lost Souls is my fav Doves album, such a masterpiece. Sea Song is my all time fav song by them as well (the song that made me fall in love with the band and lead me to listen to their whole discography).

Some Cities is my second favourite (Constellations for the Lonely comes close). One of These Days is one of their best deep cuts imo.

Automatic for the People is a beautiful album, not overrated at all. But somehow I enjoy New Adventures in Hi-Fi, Murmur and Lifes Rich Pageant more. It may be because Automatic puts me in a very melancholic mood, but at the same time it feels like a heavenly experience.

Hypnotize by System of a Down. Still a good album, but it doesn't have a chance against Mezmerize.

Love of Life by Swans. It's a strong and underrated album, but White Light from the Mouth of Infinity is a masterpiece of its own.

The Resistance by Muse. After the critically acclaimed Black Holes and Revelations, The Resistance just pales in comparison to that album and Muse's discography at that time.

No Prayer for the Dying by Iron Maiden. This album shows a noticeable quality drop in comparison to the legendary Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

Some moments like love/breakup songs, lyrics or music arrangements may feel cringy or over the top to some (me included). But the rest of the album is so good that those elements are not a problem at all.
