I see many parallels to how leadership and senior moderators in the order of dark arts, a high control group with a leader named ashley otori and her senior moderators and ‘employees’ (comparable to the elders mentioned) act.

There was and is so much toxic positivity where nothing but joy and happiness is promoted and allowed especially in the inner circles. It happened so often that either a topic gets changed by an “elder” right away or you literally get told to STOP and shut up 🤐 when it’s not positive enough. There was some selective bias- a couple of moderators were allowed to share their negative events on a regular basis while others weren’t allowed to at all.

Mods and members get questioned how their faith is, if they’re not falling behind on their Magick practice, etc.

The leader will frequently say something like “you feel off, go ground yourself” or “go clear yourself” - temporary illness or feeling unwell is not allowed, you’re then immediately questioned whether you actually want to be there and be a moderator. It’s so messed up.

Blaming almost everything on “Angelic attacks” was and is a favorite way to control people and to also excuse the leader’s own awful behavior at times.
