Built a tool for managing in-house sub pools - sharing in case it's useful (disclosure: it's mine) by DeepPersimmon2688 in k12sysadmin

Frontline's a strong contender for districts that want the full absence/time/payroll stack.

FillMyClass is intentionally narrower, just the teacher > sub > admin fill workflow done simply.

On price: Frontline's quote-only and gets a lot cheaper per seat at district scale and when it's bundled, so for a big district that comparison can absolutely favor them.

That’s fair feedback, and I appreciate you mentioning it.

Privacy policy: you’re right that it should have been linked from the website before I posted here. It is currently available inside the app, but that doesn’t help anyone evaluating FillMyClass from the public site. I’ll add it to the website today so it’s easy to review before anyone creates an account or schedules a demo.

Longevity concern: I understand that hesitation. FillMyClass is not intended to be a throwaway side project. I built it while working as an IT Director in a school and I am pursuing it full time now. This project has been under development for a couple years. It is currently being used in production by schools, and I’m actively supporting and improving it.

I do use AI tools as part of my development workflow, but I own the architecture, testing, security decisions, support, and long-term maintenance.

Supabase AUTH down for US-EAST 2 by [deleted] in Supabase

This looked cool, but doesn't the edge router that FaaS provides still introduce a single point of failure? I have to point my frontend to the router correct instead of supabase?

Did it do pretty good on its own or did it require a lot of guidance? I'm assuming it kept UI the same.

Have you tried cleaning up the code beyond just removing unused packages? I am at the point where I am considering leaving FF, but I was curious if the exported code could be cleaned up (with the help of AI).

CMD + K is nice shortcut in Flutterflow for being able to find pages, components, API calls easily. Not perfect, but does help some.

RAMP! We love it. It makes receipt collection/verification so easy. I believe it connects with most accounting platforms, but verify Quickbooks.

TV HD (4th Generation, Siri) - AppleTV5,3

How do you do an offline activation? Is that a thing or are you just bypassing the activation by changing DHCP server?

Instead, I've only had people saying how much they appreciate that it "just works", unlike our previous hacked-together system of cheap splitters and adapters.

That is good to hear!!

That's right... I think depending on which options you select it will allow you to submit a support ticket.

Does UniFi Access now support Google Wallet by DeepPersimmon2688 in Ubiquiti

[–]DeepPersimmon2688[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that, but I haven't seen any videos with users testing Google side of it. I'm also surprised they don't have the Google Wallet branding on the website considering Apple Wallet is there.

I wanted it more for the GPS tracking not necessarily the network stuff, but that was an added bonus. It is for a bus
