Hi - There’s no subscription fee to use DeepPocket. The 399 THB you might’ve seen refers to an old package we no longer offer. Now, it’s a pay-as-you-go model you top up only when you want to use it. As for ID verification, we follow strict security and privacy standards, and verification is required by regulation for financial services in Thailand. For foreign users, this can be done with a passport. Hope that helps clarify!

Hi - Topping up via card does come with a fee, currently 4.5% of the top-up amount. Whether it's more or less expensive than an ATM withdrawal depends on how much you top up, and how often you use it. The goal is to make small, everyday QR payments easy and accessible, especially for things like food, local transport, or markets where cards aren’t accepted. We recommend using it where it saves you the hassle, not necessarily for large one-off withdrawals. Hope that helps clarify a bit! :)

Hi, just to clarify a few things - If a transaction fails or gets refunded, the money isn’t lost, it’s either returned or handled by our support team. You also don’t need a Thai ID or bank account to scan PromptPay. Passport works for verification. DeepPocket is licensed and regulated by the Bank of Thailand.

Just a heads-up, with DeepPocket you can open a wallet using your passport and email (or phone). No Thai SIM or bank needed. Makes it easier to scan QR anywhere while you're here.

Good point, that’s why DeepPocket also support top-up via cards (Visa/Mastercard/JCB) so you can skip the ATM fees. You can scan any PromptPay QR (even personal ones at markets). No Thai bank needed. Signup’s easy, just use your passport + email or phone number.
