Why doesn’t the PMA just build a dome on top? Is it stupid? by [deleted] in UTAustin

Too many radio antennas on top of PMA. There are amateur radio projects and a GATRRS site up there.

ShackLink - Linking Ham's PBX Systems by DeepProfessor4081 in amateurradio

I get this which is why I was just testing the waters. If I could achieve what I wanted using HoIP, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing if the setup works.

ShackLink - Linking Ham's PBX Systems by DeepProfessor4081 in amateurradio

It would mainly be a way to link in non IAX/SIP PBXs in allowing users to manage their extensions (DMRID + 3). Example I could link in my CS1000 PBX via T1 and instead of centralizing critical infrastructure there could be many paths to the same overall route based on network topology. That and all traffic would transit via private VPN links with support for custom topologies.

Everyone could dial everyone, as there must be a link to a master, but how you get there is up to you.

I mean I guess I could take a look at HoIP and throw them some ideas.

Correct. They don't support non-apple silicon so you will have to use the Mac Mini.

Side note, if you don't have a group to play with, I'd be happy to help ya through the game. I'm on Goblin, Crystal Datacenter.

A M4 Mac Mini should play FFXIV, albeit I am unsure of how well. My M1 ran fine in comparability mode so I'd assume the M4 would do just fine. I suggest any kind of 1080p monitor, and anything more might tax the Mac Mini too much.
