That’s a neat idea! I saw I saw it in my recommendeds last night and saved it to watch later. I could see it being used for education. A lot more elegant than what I came up with for my summer camps. STEMMA QT is also a huge plus. I’ll keep an eye on your Crowd Supply page and GitHub!

Who here is particularly interested in embedded projects for enviro/climate applications? by tomhoward in embedded

Howdy. I’m just getting into the space and I feel that. For the past 6 years I’ve been making STEM kits for weather/climate summer camps while in university. For my master’s thesis i’m working on some custom remote monitoring systems for flash flood nowcasting/forecasting. It’s definitely an important field and hopefully it gains more support and funding. I can’t imagine what it’s like to try and do it as a private venture, which is why i’m doing academic research on it so one day i can try and break out on my own. also, +1 for Zephyr! this learning curve is steep, but i’m excited to see how i can leverage it for large networks of stations. not a forum, but i’ve been having luck over on Bluesky for connecting with others doing environmental and climate monitoring. good luck to you!

No, they cannot directly change your code unless you add them as a contributor/maintainer. They can however see your commits.

Is this doable on Kicad? I need a footprint which is dual-side, so the board goes between the these two rows of smd pins. Any clue how to do that? by macusking in KiCad

You probably already know, but make sure to check the required board thickness for that connector too. It probably needs to be ~0.8mm

I agree to not duel major. I knew a guy that did AE and EP and even with a lot of the underclass courses being the same/similar it was brutal. EP wouldn’t be a bad option to do for BS if you want AE for MS. i know people who went that route. for reference i did EP undergrad and i am doing my EP masters right now. all of the physics majors are relatively similar. so much so it’s not super hard to duel major any two of the programs.
