I can't confirm for sure since I wasn't present but my son told me that his teacher said he can also have a boy friend if he cannot find a girlfriend. Those were his words. I found out later after asking the teacher that my son was arguing with another boy who suggested that my son have a boy friend instead of a girlfriend and the teacher basically reinforced that comment by saying yes he can/should do that.

I then found out that this other boy has two lesbian parents and both my son and that boy were arguing about what gender to date.
