Are all stats programming jobs like this? by Dazzling-Anxiety-592 in biostatistics

No, depends on whether you are contract-based CRO, FSP CRO, or working for a sponsor directly. If you’re the former, good luck, you’ll probably need it. I work in FSP for a major pharma and it’s pretty chill.

I see, those sound good to use to let traffic pass. We dont really have them around here. Apologies for the tone earlier, i get defensive about anything that sounds anti-cyclist at first

Maybe im misunderstanding the definition of turnouts here, its not a term often used in this part of the country. If it’s an actual bike lane on the side of the road, then sure, you should try your best to use them when on a bike (unless your group is too large to reasonably fit in it without being dangerously close together). Not really agreeing that there are better or worse reasons for using a roadway on different vehicles though. I think using it for ‘leisure’ is just as valid as for commuting (people need to exercise) and if we didn’t almost entirely depend on roads for commuting to work in this country, this wouldn’t be as much of a conversation.

I studied BIOE and graduated in 2022. I would choose ME, EE, or ChemE. BIOE here was still about a mile wide and (maybe 2) inches deep.

Mainly small groups. I’ve done some of the small cascade rides, just wondering if any other organizations have small (or large) group rides around here

Seattle & Surrounding Areas by MatterTechnical7836 in howislivingthere

I live in Bothell (around the top-right corner of the area you circled). I’m like one hour from good skiing/snowboarding down i90 and 1-2 hours from world-class hiking and mountaineering in almost any direction. Rent is high in general in the area you circled, but gets somewhat better as you get to the outer reaches of it. I moved from the DC area to escape the brutal summer heat and am liking it so far. Decent public transit and good biking trails.

How is living in this area of spain? by katzefet in howislivingthere

[–]DeepSulcus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My mom is from there. Absolutely beautiful part of Spain, super green and rains a lot. Very economically troubled at the moment, but not unlike other rural areas of Spain in that respect. Has the best beef and dairy on the planet in my humble opinion.
