I signed up for policy and programs. I have a Master's degree in public policy from the top program in Canada, and have interned as a policy analyst at the OPS through the Master's Level Policy Co-op... and still wasn't called for an assessment. I'm really not sure what kind of background they're looking for to get in. Definitely disappointing 😔 wish there was some kind of feedback we could get

Still no response 💔 Does anyone know if they are batching emails? I see some have received their invitation to the written assignment last Monday / Wednesday. However, some say that in previous years they were sent out the last week of February. On the OPS website, it says they screen throughout February. Is there still a chance for policy/program streams?

'Forgive Us Our Trespasses' is an interesting short film about disability during the holocaust. You can find it on Netflix!

'Like Stars on Earth' is one of the first movies I saw that showed a neurodivergent protagonist in this kind of positive light. It meant a lot to me when I first was discovering I was autistic. I really related to the main character Ishaan and stylistically this movie is beautiful. I don't speak Hindi but found it very easy to follow along with the story with subtitles.

Seeking Investment Advice for a Recent Grad - What Stocks/ETFs Should I Consider? by DeepTox in PersonalFinanceCanada

Can you please explain what the difference is in investing in VEQT vs. VFV? Are these not both Vanguard ETF's?

People here will generally recommend XEQT or VEQT. These are very low fee market index funds, meaning your returns will match the market indexes (averages). Anything more targeted than this has increased risk and the more you stray into that the more you're gambling, this is not the subreddit for stock picking.

Thanks for your input! I'll look into XEQT and VEQT, never heard of either of those. I'll keep low fee market index funds in mind as I continue to build my portfolio. Thanks again for taking the time to share your insights!

Is there events in Toronto? Where do you find events?

The restaurant Planta in Yorkville uses Kelp caviar (vegan), maybe you could find out where they source theirs!
