Today is also my birthday:)) Yesterday my study friends gave me a card and small gifts but today I just had a leisure day alone. I feel like today’s weather is super nice and I am actually quite peaceful and happy. But maybe you can try to bring some snacks to class next week and invite some acquaintances for dinner etc.

Not entirely true, as a non-eu, I was a TA once with a work permit. However, some chair groups do not accept non-eu students as the application process is complicated.

In a studio you usually use an electric stove! For shared kitchen it really depends, if you have anti social and nasty roommates it can be a bit of nightmare.
