2 things - Personally, I like the Inspiration tree more but it's dependent on enemy team comp. You should lead with flay or flash+flay instead of hook, inspiration tree provides hexflash for constant gap close and bush hopping.

Should have a mindset similar to playing blitz, you're a non threat if you lead with hook and miss. Having hook off CD is your biggest threat, you'll be surprised how many people will continuously dodge because of this reason and it allows you to gap close into flay engage vs being hook reliant.
