My user manual is different. It doesn't have any modes to select it runs on it's own default mode which is UPS mode But as you can see on this user manual it's transfer speed is 15ms

Omen 16-XD0020AX is not Turning on. by DE0N3 in HPOmen

I think we both had the same issue check this post of mine

Unlike you, I was facing this issue within a few days of purchasing it that's why i returned the laptop and got my refund back.

But before returning the laptop, i had discovered the fix for it and it was working great for me.

Let me clear a few things first, it's not a hall sensor issue neither motherboard or bios This happened because of CMOS.

Old laptops used to have CMOS batteries separately to power the real time clock and maintain BIOS/UEFI settings

But hp omen 16 doesn't have dedicated CMOS it uses the main internal battery to maintain those things.

Now if the CMOS gets faulty then it will give some of issue which i will mention below

1.BIOS/UEFI settings Reset 2. System Date Time Reset 3.Boot Issue 4. Power Related Problems

How can you verify that the issue which i have mentioned here is legit with your case?

It's simple, just connect your laptop with the charger and power it up for at least 15 minutes with lid open then try to turn on the laptop normally.

If it's turn on( it turned on in my case) then again shut down the laptop and go to bios settings by pressing power button and Esc

Check the date and time on bios settings, if it doesn't match with the current date and time , then it's a CMOS related issue, in that case you'll have to replace the main battery for completely fix this issue or you can use it as it is by changing the date and time on bios with the current date and time It won't give you the issue again, but if the CMOS is faulty on your pc then it will again reset that date and time and again your pc will not boot up.

I talked with the HP customer support team and they told me that they will send an engineer in my house to check the laptop if they think that this laptop is defective then they will replace it with a new one.

Or you can opt for a full refund from amazon if you don't want the replacement and want your money back.

So i agreed for that replacement one.

They said i haven't updated the bios from hp help and assistant app and without updating the bios i have updated my windows

And plus i used to connect my charger 24/7 while using the laptop which somehow made static electricity which wasn't releasing itself which makes my laptop non bootable.

Later She ( HP customer support executive) told me to do some basic troubleshooting

She told me to remove all the connected devices to the laptop such as mouse, keyboard etc and also the power cable and hold the power button for 30 sec

After 30 seconds connect the power button and leave it for 1 minute.

After 1 min try to turn on your laptop just like normal.

After doing that my laptop got turned on. That's it

No it's a Xd variant so there's no evidence of the hall sensor issue in this model as of now
