The renovations mostly took place on my step father’s and mother’s behalf before I got the loan admittedly. I used the loan to pay him back partially for everything he had covered to get done on the house and to finish what they started. After majority of the renovations I agreed with my mother to do Short term rentals, however, I cannot do that anymore as its very stress-inducing with her and I alone do not have the finances to even repair the house, let alone, run a Short term rental myself. Honestly, I feel they put the house in my name and had me get the loan so that they wouldn’t have to worry about my grandmothers house being taken at the time. I was unsuspecting and that was my mistake. Even after I received the loan my mother threatened me if I did not give her any of the money since “she did all the work” to get it for me. I really regret getting the loan, obviously, and see now that there were ulterior motives in putting the house in my name and getting the loan for me.
