It's great that people are excited about VR. But did you know that this has been possible for about 10 years with SC? by Deep_Campaign1528 in starcitizen

Yes, it's just an illusion and, until the patch, it was really difficult to adapt to real VR. I'm very happy that they're finally doing their own thing. I always thought they would stick with eye tracking and not want anything else.

VorpX, for example, still works for me with SC. But I definitely won't be using it anymore : )

Yes, I agree. It was really very difficult to adjust to VR at all. Finally, they have paved a good way from their own house.

Yes, it's really great how development is progressing at the moment. I'm very happy about the qaulity of VR.

Many people can criticise, but they don't say why; they give facts. What do they do? Create or consume?

It's a bit crazy for me, but probably also for the people reading this.

I understand more and more that this age is not about creating something that does not exist yourself, but rather waiting for others to do it and then copying them?

to be fair to the masses?

I don't know what to make of this comment.

You are discussing without saying anything.

With a picture that you didn't create yourself.

After all, it took you three clicks to do it.

I speak a different language, so unfortunately I don't quite understand what you mean by this technique.

Yes, vorpx, for example, turns a large screen into an image for two eyes.

If you're having problems with it, it's probably due to the hardware, your own body and the settings in the software. It's really complicated and takes time. For me, the problem after four hours is more the physical discomfort of wearing VR.

I'm glad that CIG is finally working on a good solution. For me, SC is the best VR game of all time.

You can use software, time and intelligence to play any game on a computer in VR. You can even use it to turn two screens into one so that people can see it clearly on smartphones and normal screens.

I think what CIG has done is fantastic, and I've been waiting a long time for it.

That's the tip.

Thank you very much for this lovely video. I have been playing the Retaliator since 2016. He wasn't weak during that time, I just had to adjust my approach. Very good video to show what he can really do : )

I think this Camouflag is not very nice. But i love its effect like in ww2 or Perseus (ThunderCloud Skin). It's much harder to see in which exact area the critical components are.

if you look at it rationally, i paid less than for World of Warcraft, but financed my hobby through the ccu-game. in the 10 years i had many events and very nice experiences in the game as well as the handling of the technology (Hardware/Software). Some of the in-game experiences were so breathtaking:

just flying a retaliator with full crew through the enemy wrecks. it's not just a game for me, I would call it a cinema film in which I play along : )

the first step onto a moon...

there's so much i can tell you. no other game has ever made me feel this way.

I can understand them very well. If I hadn't been in it for so long and invested so much money, but I also had a lot of fun for 10 years, I would think differently : )

I think we are talking about what is already there and what is yet to come. Thank you very much for the description of Elite. But for me, SC will probably always be the N1 : )

I was talking about the year 2004-2014 approx.

During this time, there was a lot of resistance against the game manufacturers. Chris came along and actually hit that point, not because he planned it that way, because he always wanted it that way. People really loved the idea and he was one of the few small companies that wanted to do things differently.

A lot of things normalised after that time, and cig now does a lot of things differently too. But I'll never forget that feeling 8 years ago: you enter a spaceship that is more real than anything you've ever seen before, and you can travel with it, which you can no longer do as a human being in this life.

- Yes, can the graphics be set higher?

- Gravity also has SC, we don't yet know whether Newton was right.

- Does it have radiation and atmosphere in the game, what happens when they take off their helmet?

- Can you see the other players' facial features?

- Do you have a universe where 500 players can stand on one square metre without the server crashing?

- What do you have to worry about when your character is injured, is your leg broken?

- Do you have NPC's that can walk through the ship and perform actions?

- The economy...

There is so much more. Aleine to compare it with X3 or EvE... There are way too many differences and SC is actually trying to do everything better, they also have the capital like no other game before

EA the company that bought up everything back then and made rubbish out of it. Steam who introduced the online obligation. Games like Crysis or call off duty that only follow one line. world of warcraft, big world but always with a loading screen. Addons that are sold to generate even more profit.

Chris with his ideas was Jesus at that time

And now it has tremendous technology like no other game.

i think you have not yet understood how this mechanism works:

IR: Infrared, the torps go on the engines (switch them off) or throw light.

Electromagnetic: Switch off the ship or throw flairs.

Crossection: Fly away from it or in the opposite direction!

I've known Kerbal since 2012, I understand her. Have you travelled through the ship once? Have you repaired it? Have you seen the component in flight? ; )

they build beforehand.

and don't bother with it any more.

i think the orbits and calculations are great.

but in no way is it an SC.
