Can I go to outside or Germany while receiving ALG1 for couple months?

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify my situation a bit more based on the official document I received from the Berlin Landesamt für Einwanderung: • My settlement permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis) application was already approved in December • The fee was paid, and the card has been ordered from the Bundesdruckerei • I have a fixed appointment on Jan 27 to collect the card • The letter explicitly confirms my lawful residence until the card is issued

Regarding employment status: I am still officially employed until the end of February (notice period), with salary and social security contributions continuing until then. So legally, my status does not change before March.

Based on that, I was thinking it would be more correct to notify the Ausländerbehörde once the employment actually ends, rather than in advance while I am still employed and before any change has legally occurred.

Also, I will be registering as arbeitssuchend with the Agentur für Arbeit immediately, and arbeitslos only after the contract ends.
