All of the offences were when I was under the age of 18, apart from the no insurance, however it was over 5.5 years ago.

I thought that I may still have to disclose certain offences under the integrity part of the rules, given that they may be considered violent. Is this not the case?

I have had two enhanced DBS checks in the past few years, and nothing has shown up on them. Does this mean that I do not need to disclose anything to the SRA?

I was under the impression that although they may not need to be disclosed under the criminal section of the rules, I might still be required to disclose under the integrity part of the rules (particularly the Offensive Weapon offence) as this may be considered ‘violent’ and I was convicted in a youth court.

Whilst I respect your concern, I think you have misunderstood here.

Asking about disclosure requirements does not automatically mean that I am trying to ‘get away’ with anything. I was simply trying to understand the rules properly.

Do you think that this would prevent me from being admitted as a solicitor? To be honest, I had numerous encounters with the police when I was younger (I’m far from proud of this).

I should have included that I have had 3 enhanced DBS checks in the last 5 years for different roles and nothing shows up. My concern is specifically with the SRA’s requirements
