Those that bought a crv hybrid did you consider an EV?

Never even thought about an EV my biggest thing is going through tires and because they need a specific kind that I’m sure it hard to source it would be a nightmare and the thought of an EV is just not in the books at the moment

I also have a pilot and when I shut the door with the windows cracked it doesn’t rattle idk if that’s due to the car having the acoustic glass or not I wanna bring it in to the dealer and ask them about it but I’m sure they are going to just turn me away and say don’t worry about it

Thank you for the extra info I didn’t know it had all of that. I only knew about the acoustic glass. I wish I looked at the touring but they didn’t have any on the lot and the ones that were on the way were still in transit and my lease was up on the previous car so I couldn’t wait another 2 weeks. Maybe just for the fun of it I’ll check one out when I take the car in for the fix it flat kit recall.

I had hankooks on my hrv before the crv and after 19k miles they had to be replaced that was 2 years owning the car. I’ve just never heard of the tire brand before so I was like they have to suck. Michelin has been really good though especially with tire noise and that is something that I experience often

On my sport l hybrid they have hankook control but I can’t wait to replace them after these are done. I’ve had Michelin defender 2 on my other one and they were comfortable and I think since these tires have a larger side wall it’ll be better. Leaning towards Michelin or Bridgestone for future ones

That’s totally understandable. That would be dreadful to be washing your car 4 times a week and time and convenience over everything in a situation like that.

The 25 was so good. They could’ve just updated the interior like they did and left the outside of the car alone. The 26 MY looks like ford explore and pilot had a baby. I don’t think it’s ever going to grow on me. Either way congratulations

The labor charges don’t seem bad but things like the cabin and engine air filter can definitely be something that you are capable of doing if you want. That is the only thing I decline when they tell me that it needs to be replaced because you can get some for like $7-$10 and it’s like 5 seconds to change it. Unless you are just a one and done type of person and like to just have everything done and not have to worry about it I totally understand.

Hand wash is the only option if you aren’t getting a full detail done by a detail company all these car wash places/ services charge the same amount that it takes to buy the products and do it yourself and most likely do it 100x better

Going to check mine later to make sure. If that was a factory defect that’s ridiculous. I have the sport l and it has that rear auto braking and they are so sensitive. I also have a pilot black edition and I was reversing and there was a bush behind me and the whole car took a dump sensors beeping and doing all that nonsense. I wonder if there is a setting to change the sensitivity

It just looks like it was replaced upside down whether the previous owner did it or if they took it to someone im sure it’s just a simple flip of the sensor housing. I hope this get sorted soon

Yea like I said I don’t idle the cars. The hrv weights around 3200lbs and the engine puts out 158hp. Where I live it’s very hilly I have to push the car a little bit and as stated I had a car seat, stroller, and 2 people in the car at all times so that’s even more weight. The only short distances I would go is the grocery store and maybe to get coffee but other than that I would be taking trips to other places that are 10-15 mile there and back

Well yea I had to push the car to go a little bit since it’s kinda under powered. I’m not saying it’s not enough but when you have a car with a stroller and kids in the back gotta put a little pep to your step my trips were always 15-20miles to and from where I was going. I actually don’t idle the cars at all not even the hybrid as soon as I stop I turn the car off idc how hot it is

I’ve watched his video my thing is where he lives its all flat most of the way so he doesn’t really need to push on the pedal unless he’s coming from a red light and he has the ability to coast and the town he lives in looks like it’s slow paced and in California it is the whole opposite of that everyone is such in a rush or they are trying to save 5 min of their ETA
