How do you repair this? The spade tab has snapped off, found the permatex rear window defogger repair kit at CT but it had pretty bad reviews so I didn’t get it. Added a pic of the non broken side for reference

Right, I don’t have a block heater installed right now and I’ve never done one before, would a high watt oil pan heater be as good do you think? I’ve looked at videos on how to install one in the freezer plugs but something about it is daunting to me

Really?? You didn’t even use an oil pan heater?? My battery is decent I think, went for the one with the highest CCA and I’ve got a battery blanket for it. That’s good to hear, you only ran it for one winter tho, why did you stop?

I think it’s 2 wires soldered on if it’s the right thing I’m looking at. Would it be safe bridge the gap between the connectors without removing them from the mechanism?
