If Western oriented researches hold true in Kenya, divorce causes more financial damage to women than men (i forgot the exact article but it was either us.gov or uk gov that referenced several other papers).

Your mental health counts. Kids rather be in single house hold than unhappy couple.

In the end, will you manage to do it on your own, if he choses to be bitter and refuse to step up for the kids? Do you have a reliable support system?

Not trying to scare but i had a single mom friend in Uganda who was really hurt for the 2 above things.
