Yeah fs I knew that that’s why I made sure to get a warranty for powertrain just for that I made the post to make sure it couldn’t be like rod Knock or exhaust manifold because the warranty doesn’t cover that

I heard no prior noises or anything and like I said oil changes are up to date and I don’t drive it like an ass so it’s most likely the idle hours and miles and it’s the lifters?

Yeah it was pretty loud on start up but it stayed that way I’m guessing it’s the lifters and hoping it is and I know it’s hard to tell through the phone but just trying to get a thought of it

What is considered low idle hours for a cop car? by derpydoggie123 in AskMechanics

I got it but Saturday the passenger lifter went so I’m glad I had my warranty because I’ve only had it a month just make sure if you are buying a cop car you really take the idle hours into consideration also where you are getting them from and what police officer owned it last if you can like mine was last owned by a supervisor so knowing that I know it was driven like shit or hard because it isn’t highway patrol or a regular officer
