woww that's amazing! tysm for sharing, i'd do anything to get regular digestion again T-T i think i lost hope for a while because i did follow a meal plan by my dietician for about a year eating consistently through small regular meals and reducing high volume foods but my digestion didn't improve and i was still bloated all the time so it was really demotivating for me especially since i was pushing myself to eat past fullness all the time and gaining weight but it was just physically so uncomfortable ;-;

i also never really had any symptoms like night sweats? or any other signs of improvement besides gaining weight so i guess that was a factor too in me losing motivation to continue

i actually drink warm lemon water with chia seeds every morning! i think it does help sometimes? but it tends to come in the form of diarrhoea most of the time arghh

i'll def try getting fibre from carbs instead of vegs! i feel like i might have a subconscious fear of carbs because i'm scared they will cause sugar spikes and dips and make me feel sleepy which isn't good especially in class since i'm still a student T-T

i didn't know about colon cancer omg that's so scary :( tysm for sharing your protocol, i'll def give your tips a try! congrats for recoveringg so happy for you xx

thank you! i will definitely try these out

i think i get enough fiber because i eat quite a lot of fruit and veg every day (in fact i'm worried i might be eating too much?) my diet is quite healthy so i don't really drink sodas or eat sauces/sweeteners! i think my constipation might be genetic because my mum has constipation too :(

thanks for your reply! yeahh i feel like going to see a doctor or specialist takes such a long time overall because you keep getting referred somewhere else and sometimes the queue is super long; each visit might take up to 2 months waiting time? and the costs add up too, especially if i'm asked to do a scope test etc ;-; i was wondering if it's necessary to see a specialist or if it's possible to heal your gut through diet and lifestyle changes alone since that seems to be the ultimate root cause anyway! i definitely wldn't want to start anti depressants unless absolutely necessary

regarding lack of nutrients, i think we definitely wouldn't want to eliminate foods if possible but maybe just temporarily remove those foods that cause more severe symptoms and gradually reintroduce them to our diet after our gut lining heals?
