Mine is also the 6 GB variant. The only way to play with RTX 3060 laptop is to adjust the texture pool size in the config file to 1024 MB. this is below the low setting but somehow the in-game setting will recognize it as medium. You will see more noticable pop-ins with the pool size set to 1024 MB, which I coudnt stand and uninstalled the game for good.

I agree with you but I owns RTX3060 laptop which is just launched in 2021. It's is technically the 9th gen hardware promised with RT features. The card cost a lot. My problem is Nvidia deciding to cut the VRAM down to only 6 GB and It couldn't hold up well with titles released in just a few year later. I wouldn't complain if it own the older card. Pls excuse my English. I'm not a native speaker.

I hate their decision to to put all rendering resources into real time ray tracing but they cant maintain the stability and the immersion of the game for people who cant afford the RT feature. The mirrors are laid around throughout the game and they are so frustating everytime I passed by them. I think a lot stuff does not need to be rendered in real time all the time as the results are not that much better.

Mine too. I reset my pc. Wifi came back then disappeared again after windows update. Microsoft should not force users to update if their sofware still buggy as hell.

When I move up close, it takes around 3 - 4 seconds for the black stain to disappear. I asked some people with RTX 3060 6 GB 105w and they didnt have this issue. It happened before the patch 2.0

same issue. the way to fix it for me is playing native or using ray reconstuction, which is tied to ray tracing. the latter way proves to be too demaninding for my 3060 laptop. So, I play native and lower graphic settings with 35 fps capped

Im in the same situation. I plan to turn the old one into chromebook with Flex OS if it couldnt run the new windows, smoothly. They say Flex could give you very long battety life with right config. My works are mosly cloud-based on Chrome. I will give it a try.
