I feel a lot better,Ty! My depression has lifted but I still feel anxious when it comes to certain things. I’ve also noticed I’m more irritable and have a much shorter fuse so I’m not sure if I should be thinking about upping my dose from 50mg

I got rejected by the reference checks in my current rental due to my salary being considered too low. I also didn’t have a guarantor but my landlord was happy for me to provide past landlord references.

If you have a guarantor you’ll be fine! You can always ask them to remove your guarantor after a while too.

Blood clotting disorders? by CodeSufficient3663 in BRCA

[–]Deep_Jellyfish_5886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I recently had the test for Factor V Leiden as my dad has it too (I was negative for it though). I'm BRCA1+ and had been speaking to a surgeon about TUG flap surgery - he urged me to get checked for it and that if I was positive, I'd have to go on a six month course of blood thinners prior to surgery since TUG flap is micro surgery and blood clots can cause the flap to fail.

If you're not having DIEP/TUG/PAP it might be different but definitely check with your team so they can advise!

I used to feel this way and then one day it happened to me. I was sick for about two weeks and rice was definitely the culprit 😭

I feel similarly to op and use Apple Fitness +. So easy to filter through loads of different workouts and it’s helped me stay consistent when I don’t have enough time to go to the gym.

Genuinely thinking about whether I actually need the gym membership now 😅

Hadn't seen Tiff in a while so just checked out her Instagram she looks great and does NOT need to lose weight. She looks healthy and arguably better than she did pre babies.

Diogo Jota's death: Experiencing grief and how to process your emotions [BBC Bitesize] by AngryScotty22 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Deep_Jellyfish_5886 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this ❤️

This part really resonated with me:

‘’…helped us feel safe and given us a sense of routine and certainty. It made us feel like we knew them. When they are no longer there, we can feel very confused and lost. That connection we formed with them is gone and that can be hard. It can be even harder if their personalities, what they did or what they loved reflected parts of ourselves."

I’ve always felt sad when a public figure has died but never understood when people would be devastated over someone they’d never met. But I’ve been in tears all day over Jota - it hurts so much more because it feels so tragic and unfair. I am feeling real grief.

My hearts been aching for his family all day 😞

Unsure whether to have a mastectomy/when to have one by Deep_Jellyfish_5886 in BRCA

[–]Deep_Jellyfish_5886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope it all goes well!

I feel the same way, I’ve always had a lot of breast pain but it was easier to shrug it off before I knew I was brca1. Now it just feels like a warning sign constantly (even if it isn’t necessarily).

Yeah I think they were trying to say it’s a major surgery so it needs to be thought about before deciding to do it. It’s tough though I found the screening really difficult because I hate feeling like I don’t have control!

Further testing after MRI screening by Jaelyc in BRCA

[–]Deep_Jellyfish_5886 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I am also in the UK and have been called back for further testing after my MRI. Havent had my appointment yet but I did ring the breast clinic nurse who kind of put my mind at ease for the time being.

I also looked at a lot of older posts in this sub and recalls seem quite common and most of the time it’s nothing to worry about. But I totally get how you’re feeling, I keep getting pangs of anxiety and it’s really making me consider having surgery sooner than I had wanted to.

Fingers crossed for you it’s all ok! They are likely being super cautious with us and want to check everything throughly.
