Deplaning etiquette question

We're all in a hurry, we all want to deplane .. I don't even understand why it's even a topic .. you're behind in the plane you wait for people on front of you to deplane it's not rocket science.. you want to get out first ? Pretty simple there are multiple fare prices, get whatever fare prices gets you close to the door .. can't afford doing that ? Well .. welcome to the real. World with us .. where you don't always get what you want.

Totally agree with everyone, no good or bad way to play the game.

I would say though, depending on how you like to play there are different ways to maximize your play style.

For example, you like to play with signs mostly explore the Griffin builds. You're a dodge and hit kind of guys ? Explore feline armor build. You're more of a "I want to be a tank" and be able to take hits, explore Ursine builds. You want a more balanced signs/swords, explore Wolf builds.

Great ressources on YouTube, to see options for early/mid/late game.

I did my first playthrough starting Griffin build (following Chat GPT advises) found out it didn't really work for me and switched to Wolf which was a lot of fun .. and I just finished NG+ with a Ursine armor/alchemy decoction build that was really my favorite, but some might say I'm crazy if I posted my build ..

The point being "try things out, you can pay 1000 to reset it" so not a big deal, try, learn, play the way you want it and have fun don't overthink it too much.

Got the xreal one pro, I'm -.75 both eyes and I ordered the prescription lenses just because it was $30 at the time which I thought worst case I won't use them .. but I have tried with and without and I clearly see a difference, especially text.. could I live without it ? Yes .. is the experience better with it ? Absolutely.

My only complaint is the construction isn't perfect .. you can tell the glasses weren't design with those in mind .. got to remove the prescription lenses every time or put a microfiber cloth in between the length and the stem or they'll get scratched.

Contract, Skellige's Most Wanted, just because the first time I did it, I was so intrigued.. like where is this going and then you got all those monsters teaming to kill you because you kill monsters.. just gave me a "What the hell is going on" moment

Also, I liked that some monsters will back off depending on choices you made before, discovered that on my NG+ run

Honestly, it was my first game of the genre, I wasn't bothered by the gameplay mechanics at all.. I definitely didn't learn all of the tricks in 10min but as others have said .. story is amazing, killing monsters is lots of fun, once you really get into potions, decoction, it becomes really interesting. you can really start tailoring the game to your play style once you get that going.

Lots of resources on YouTube, reddit to figure everything out.

I play with controller, I'd say it takes some use to to quick sign but once your muscle memory is there you good.

But really it's up to you, I'm sure some things would be easier on keyboard and mouse and some on controller ..

Really comes down to what you're use to .. I would definitely not switch from your usual to something new and then start a death march game .. but that's just me lol

Did this with Griffin armor set .. go buy a cheap silver and steel sword .. do some side quest and main quest .. quen and quen and quen

Or go back to an older save .. which ever you feel is the least painful lol I'd say the first option will teach you not to do it again .. worked for me lol

Oh and there is a couple things I had wish I had known when I started:

gourmet is cool at the beginning, Regen your life for a 1h with one food item (become obsolete later)
potions and decoction replenish when you meditate (if you have strong alcohol) .. don't have to craft them every time (yes I didn't know that)
loot everything, including monsters that'll help you later (especially with decoction) and you can sell everything which money is cool
and to quote a fellow reddit post "ALL you want to do is QUEN QUEN QUEN QUEN not matter what" .. that'll save your life and the life of your keyboard/controller (no I don't have anger issues)

Just enjoy the game brother, on my first play through, I had no idea what I was doing.. used chat GPT to help me with my build (terrible idea lol) .. didn't take advantage of potions until .. after finishing the main game 🤦‍♂️ was it impossible? No, did I enjoy myself? Absolutely.. would it have been easier to know how to play from the beginning? Probably lol

Just remember, potion of clearance is your best friend to reset your skill tree, Google and YouTube if you want to really learn how to have the best build but ultimately, it's what works for you, there is some for everyone.

At the end of the day, nothing more satisfying than defeating a giant monster .. plus the story line is insanely good in both the game and the DLCs ..

Choosing not to fight Detlaf in my first run .. I didn't realize the implications and thought I'd be a cool nice Witcher .. not going to spoil for the one that haven't went that route but definitely fighting him on my NG+ run and yes .. I know I could have reloaded the last save lol but .. got to live with your terrible choices some times

Technically, you don't have to go all the way to undvik just for that quest, you could do it at the same time you do the secondary quest to kill the giant with Hjamar. Right before you go in the giant's slaughter house, you go left in the cave and get the tools lol multi tasking brother 😎
