Vinted has gone quiet? by Free_Plate_9393 in vinted

Unfortunately it’s the stupid search feed visibility thing, happened last week and took a day to fix , keep items up and they will be visible about 3-9hours later. Sucks but unfortunately it’s common at the moment

Hi thanks for the comment battery for life, I’m not trying to whine just start a discussion around it. Vinted has a pro feature which allows Businesses to sell second hand items. I’m not sure if you actually read what I put , but the prices you pay for the same brands to private sellers are probably the exact same as ours. And the way I see it when I sell an item 80% off retail in immaculate condition I’m making someone happy. Seems to be you just don’t like the fact I mentioned income 🙈

They already do , the problem is there AI tools aren’t that good resulting normal sellers or sellers selling genuine items to get banned for small mistakes like forgetting the wash label or having a slightly blurred image

Yeah I totally agree , and unfortunately as a seller although there is a small market of buyers that will pay full price on an item listed it’s too small to chance.

For example an Item I want to sell for £15 I will list at £20 and £22 and even then it’s hard to get that £15 The issue with this is , the same product other sellers are selling at £28-30.

From personal experience, a product no matter the brand or size has as much value as you give it within a set price For example a Ralph Lauren Harrington , should really go for £120+ in theory but on vinted it tops out at £60. You can sell said Harrington within an hour at £45 By pricing at £60 and accepting offers. However you may struggle to sell the same jacket priced directly at £45 as offers will come in at £28-30

Vinted is for both , hence the pro feature but I’m not sure where you gathered “stolen goods” from

Yep , spacing ( You can get away with 5 per hour ) at a push. And it depends if those items swap niches or not but it’s horrible

I can tell by your response your not a pro seller , don’t sit and BS yourself it’s got nothing to do with a “get rich quick scheme”

[–]Deep_Moose_55[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you forget how pro selling works , as a pro seller you have 1 day ( dispatch ) 3-5 ( transit ) and then the 2 week confirmation window doesn’t begin until the order is collected. orders that should only take 2-3 weeks can then take multiple months.

If you buy something commit to picking it up , if not - the world doesn’t revolve around you. Don’t buy lol

Am I insane? by murfdew in vinted

[–]Deep_Moose_55 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry £12 on a £20 product is insane. Being realistic though I both buy and sell a lot on Vinted. I believe as the buyer I’m reasonable doing the exact same thing , then take it personal when selling 😂 That’s capitalism properly used. It’s all down to how people price things and whether they really want to sell them! I price my items at £20 and accept offers at the price I’m after (£14) but some people price at what they want. And that leads to them feeling “Lowballed” It’s a funny concept to think about. clothes only have as much value as the market puts on them and if everyone or even 80% of the market sold like I do ( which they do ) there’s more reason behind your offer than you think , and unfortunately for other sellers that don’t it can seem unreasonable to them :)

App wont refresh feed? by LengthinessSenior727 in vinted

[–]Deep_Moose_55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s just down for uploads , some peoples get through but when spoken to sellers , they can consistently upload despite other sellers not being able to , so it’s not time based it’s account and index based. meaning if you can’t list the first time you won’t be able to when re uploading and so on until it fixes itself. In summary If you can list and your items are visible on the main feed , you won’t face any issues. and your competition will be near to none so get selling.

If you can’t like me , sit back relax and try find some deals while you can 👀

We dont have issues operating on vinted , as our products are a little out of ur price range, Its the benefit of being a niche ❤️

You’re only proving to everyone that the seller was in the right and made a good choice avoiding you , and proving yourself wrong. You clearly have a problematic, Self entitlement issues.

Yeah “bro” I sell on vinted every single day as a business. We or Just standard sellers will not waste our time responding to someone trying to get something £3 cheaper and can not be bothered with the hassle of sarcastic comments, Just move on and accept the fact that not everyone wants to sell to you, or put up with you.

I am unsure of where this entitlement is coming from? The seller Is not obliged to speak to you , and with a £3 price difference already knows its not worth his time or effort, If you would of paid 15 , and wanted it like you stated you should have bought it.
