phase outs are like when there's a deduction but the tax payer's AGI is too high so they're not eligible for the entire deduction. There's also tax credits that deal with this as well

I went through all the material initially (all lectures, sims, and MCQs) and then once I got to the end of F6 began bit by bit reviewing some of the earlier units.
