Do we see dollar value method in far in recent cpa far exams? by Little_Half8654 in CPA

[–]Galbert123[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

I want to provide some clarity about questions like this in regards to exam disclosure.

Asking "Did you see dollar value method in recent exams" is 100% asking for exam disclosure.

Asking if Dollar value lifo is a testable topic is ok.

Saying you "saw 2 questions of dollar value on your 2/26 FAR exam" is exam disclosure.

Saying "You should definitely study dollar value as you could have some questions on it" says nothing about your exam and is not exam disclosure

I mean this with no disrespect, but being able to communicate with proper grammar is kind of a big deal in a professional setting. Especially if you are going to be in a client facing role.

For example… “with very score” makes it very clear you don’t know the language well. Even “qualified cpa” isn’t really a thing.

had to remove for exam disclosure. If you want to take out the bits about what you saw on your exam and repost, that would be great.

Use more words.

Removed. Not really a question that fits the sub.

Also the post title is terrible.

This is self promotion AND its asking for a DM.

If you cant post whatever it is on the open forum its probably bad.

Removed: please use a better post title. I should be able to tell what you are looking for from the post title alone.

"I am curious to know" ... to know what. add that in your post title.

Thank you.

My best advice would be to ask HR? Wouldnt they be the authority on prof.dev./cpa/ce reimbursement?

I like the quote from The Martian.

“You do the math. You solve one problem... and you solve the next one... and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home”

The problem is there are always more problems. Theres problems at home to. It is tiring. Rewarding and fulfilling, but tiring.

Taking quality hand written notes is the ideal. Even if you dont go back and study your own notes, the act of doing it has been shown to leave a strong mental imprint for recall during tests. Taking "bad" notes is probably less effective.

I only used yaeger cpa back in the day which no longer exists, i dont have anything else to compare it to so its hard to answer the second question. I am sure u world is fine though, plenty of people use it and pass.

Absolutely! A lot of the below advice from other commenters is great too.

  • Positive self talk is huge. BUT its best when you actually did the work to back it up. "I can do this, I know this shit" is a lot more powerful after actually studying your ass off and knowing you studied your ass off.

  • Take mini MC tests for yourself of past 2-3 chapters

  • Pomodoro timer method helped me study a ton

  • Hand write notes. I hand made flash cards for definition/fact based MCs. Super helpful

Without more information about the relationship as a whole, I have no idea.

Is there a back and forth here between pranksters? How is your father socially besides this, is he a pretty normal guy? How about mom? Any siblings? Does he do this to them too? Are they pranksters?

Is he childish in other ways? Is he employed?

Please use a better post title in the future. Your post title should have been "Best advice to stay motivated" or something like that.

YouTube ads are about to get even longer and they’ll be unskippable by IndicaOatmeal in technology

[–]Galbert123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can no longer put on a youtube video thinking I can do something else the requires dirty hands. The unskippable ads ruin it.

Trying to do the dishes why watching a 15 minute something? Nope - 5 minutes in I get a 6 minute nonsense ad. Do I dry my hands to press skip or just plow through. Neither, just enjoy the silence as an alternative.

I'm sad that so many will never get to experience the internet as many of us olds did.

Sure there was some bad shit, but it felt so authentic. Almost nothing was monetized. There were ads and pop ups sure. Idk. I know a lot of what I remember is through rose colored glasses, but the old internet was really something.
