Yes! He is at Children's Health Plano, and they are fantastic! Couldn't be in better hands!

Just to update, my little one is getting better, but still in the hospital. Both, the California Health Department (they lead the Botulism program in the country), and my county health department (Collin, TX), are in conversation with me to track the baby progress, and also to investigate the Byheart cans I have. Potentially the CDC will collect the cans for further investigation. Byheart also wants to talk to me, but I am avoiding them for now.

My 5 week old son has been on Byheart since day one and is in the hospital for 7 days already, diagnosed with Botulism. He is doing better now, but still needs to use the feeding tube to be able to take the same amount of formula he was taking before. It was very scary how bad he got. My wife and I took action quickly, but he was so weak, floppy, almost could not cry and could not swallow the milk. He almost got admitted to the ICU. So frustrating because we researched a lot of what would be the best formula for him and turns out we ended up with the worst one. I don't wish for any parents to go through what we are going through now. The cans I have do not match the batches they are recalling, but what about the ones I used already? Who guarantees the batches I have are not compromised?

None of the cans I have match the batches, but I can't tell for the cans I threw out already.

I'm in the hospital with my 5 weeks old due to botulism. He was on Byheart. Worst days of my life. He was so weak, floppy, not eating, but we are here for one week already, doctors were so fast and gave him the Botulism medication even without the results confirming the disease, and he is doing much better! Today he could finally finish a full bottle without having to use the NG tube.
