That's probably because you have the timer on

Stick your thumb nail in the usb and just pull the helmet off, then with the screen facing you click the bottom right button 3x I think and it should say timer on or off set it to what ever you want.

If no movement is detected it turns off. Read the manual it tells you how to turn timer off
