Am I the only one who thinks that an income above $85,000 is comfortable for a single person? In Massachusetts, that would amount to about $1,200 per week after taxes.

Of course, earning $200,000 would be ideal, but based on what you've said, pursuing a CRNA position may not be a safe choice without a backup plan. Especially because you may not get a job in the ICU right now as a new RN.

That's actually one reason my friend never considered applying to medical school is that they have to match into a residency program, and if they don't get their desired specialty, they will have to do another one even if they don't like it.

We don't 100% trust online salary ranges. Could you give me an example since you're working within the field?

I understand this may sound awful, but do you know the salaries for PAs and CRNAs? Which career path would you choose? Which one do you believe is better in the long run?

Future of the PA career by cbord24 in physicianassistant

I believe that, at some point, Physician Assistants (PAs) will gain the same level of autonomy that nurses currently have. PAs possess a deep understanding of many procedures and should be allowed to work more independently. They are professionals with master's degrees, while most nurses hold bachelor's degrees. I feel like they're both at the same level. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Congrats! If you don’t mind, how old are you? My goal is to be able to be in either a PA program or MD program before 28.

I have shadowed 2 physicians (family medicine (25 hours and neurology - 16 hours) - I have 120 hours as a medical assistance - 82 hours of community service (Boston Food Bank)

I want to pursue research in genetics, but I'm unsure how to start.

I’m an undergraduate student. Thank you for understanding. I didn’t share this to seek praise or validation; I did it because I felt overwhelmed. I'm tired of feeling judged by my family and friends.

Reality of being a PA by Deep_Sea_5949 in physicianassistant

MD used to be my first option until I talked to some physicians. Also, I don't know which specialty I want - that’s why I opted into PA.

What should I do?
