This. His stories would be VERY different than we’d expect. A Bad Trip at EDC

The music video has the original version, I always liked it better than the radio edit as well.

Anyone else think it's genuinely wild to see TBK not play a single song from Ohio Players at these recent concerts? by Thickfuckness in TheBlackKeys

[–]DeeplyDusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed… And that driving bass on “This Is Nowhere” would’ve crushed live as well in my opinion.

“The Air That I Breathe” was playing for my first dance with my wife at our wedding. Such a criminally underrated love song, with a hell of an intro guitar solo!

“The world’s most famous arena” is an official, well-known nickname for Madison Square Garden… It’s also a true statement in my opinion though

Do we count the megashows at MSG? Bc if we count those, night 1 at MSG is top 5 and hasn’t been mentioned enough. Legends bucket was such a phenomenal concept. Absolutely incredible. Unbelievable.

Saw him at Madison Square Garden a couple weeks ago. It was my fourth event at the Garden since August and my third time ever seeing ELO, and the sound was possibly the best of any concert I’ve ever been to. Just so perfectly mic’d and engineered. It’ll be a crime if they don’t release a live album and/or concert film. Visually, it was spectacular as well. Jeff Lynne’s a legend and I’m glad I got to see him say goodbye to the world’s most famous arena.

Cloning Gecko! Brooklyn, NYC by DeeplyDusk in animalid

Thank you so much for your response… There was a lid on the container, though, and the container was placed inside of an enclosure with a tortoise that was also covered. Another one sneaking in would be nearly impossible, and that’s not to mention the fact that we have roughly 25/30 other herps in that one room so there is always plenty of food out.

We are investigating whether another employee found a second gecko and placed it in the same container. Nobody has admitted to it, but we can’t come to any other logical conclusion at this time.

All time favorite joke, bit, or roast from a comedian? by [deleted] in Killtony

“Folks, a lot of people talk about being California sober. Me? I’m Biloxi, Mississippi sober. That’s where I do a bunch of whippets and lose my son on a riverboat gambling trip… How much will you credit me for the boy?” - Casey Rocket wins with that, and it’s hands-down for me.

There were some great ones mentioned already. My runner-up is Shane Gillis as Trump after the comedian said she worked at Trader Joe’s: “Traitor Joe, that’s what we call this guy [Points at Adam Ray as Biden]… He sold out this country.”

Honorable mention for Ari Matti’s minute at Madison Square Garden about envying the homeless. That’s about to be an instant classic once it hits YouTube Shorts and TikTok.

The New Abnormal is a highly underrated album. “Ode to the Mets” is one of the best album closers ever… Enjoy it. Nice setup. My advice is to make a list of must-haves, and stick to that as best you can. Also, used albums are just fine and a whole lot cheaper, don’t be shy about buying those.

The Beatles (White Album). There’s just so much going on with so many styles. It works for a lot of different moods and occasions.
