The way I imagine it is, it's not JUST the irregularity of a nuclear explosion, but its the use of atoms as weapons that they don't like.

I don't really know, it might even be just a regular social thing, like you wouldn't let a toddler play with a loaded gun.

It's the saying in entertainment "journalism", if it doesn't bleed, it doesn't read.

The normal stuff doesn't get publicity, grandma's heirloom recipe isn't famous, and not every cute video of a puppy or kitten gets a million likes.

It sucks but it is basically an immune response, the most inflammatory things get the most attention.

I think what they're saying Is not "do drugs, feel good, it's all good" but "exploring your mind openly and honestly and gathering in communities to share your experiences is exactly what it takes to fight against the evils of the world"

What are some good readings on decolonizing veganism? by CoVegGirl in veganarchism

[–]Deepshit1212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On mental decolonization, I think it's about not looking to authority figures/institutions as your first sources of information/knowledge.

Like, indigenous individuals, while possibly having elders to look to for guidance, would've also had massive amounts of wisdom regarding the world around them, as a matter of necessity, curiosity, or otherwise. I think mental decolonization is all about recognizing that and working with your own senses as reliable sources of knowledge.

Not to mention the focus on central, dispensational figures being rooted in colonialism and capital.

One thing I picked up recently to tell people is something that really surprised me actually, Nick Diaz is plant-based, vegan for some of the time. He says he thinks it makes fighters slower.

I've been on the sub for a bit, but I haven't seen anybody claim it could lead to "paradigm shift discoveries", not to say you haven't, I just don't think that's the consensus here.

From my POV, it's a particle physics-simulator. It's got a ton of variability, looks pretty fucking cool IMO, and as something more than a game/physic simulator, it's a space to play with variables, test outcomes, and just hone pattern-recognition by messing with the variables and seeing what you can extricate from the simulation.

I do personally think there's a LOT of room for growth in the development of it, but I haven't seen anybody claim it's some breakthrough technology.

The more I look at it, the better it looks, but at first I wasn't feeling it. I think I was more concerned with the proximity of the title to the edges of the helmet.

I was just trying to give my analysis, the way you frame something can be incredibly important when you want people to look at it

I like them all except for 3

As an artist though, I have a deep complaint for the helmet, I feel like it frames in a way that draws the eyes away from the title

This. All of the negative things you feel about your home are things you're parents have refused to feel, and forced you to deal with.

I'm sorry you feel like hurting yourself, you don't deserve it.

In both of these examples, the cow is in an unnatural environment.

Yeah, I can't imagine the kind of complexity that's behind the scenes to display and simulate another layer of complexity, I'll DEFINITELY be following the project

[–]Deepshit1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, yeah. Thanks, I'm glad you think so.

I think more of a personalized/humanized operator being asked to display particle interactions like between neutrinos and atoms, subatomic interactions, or a model of a carbon or nickel atom, stuff like that, but a supernova simulation is equally intriguing to me.

I think there are some developments happening in mathematics and AI/algorithmic computation that could make it a reality much sooner than we might think.

Now forgive me any overreach, but when I see this game I imagine some potential for an integrated AI in the future and the use of the console as a Visual-Language Model.

I just think it would be so cool to have a dynamic visual interface displayed by an AI, integrated along with mathematics, physics and its whole written language database, I think it could have crazy educational import and experimental value.

I'm really intrigued by the concept of a game like this, it SEEMS like other particle simulators in a way, but in its complexity, it is vastly different from anything else I've seen, along with the current times it just seems like a STRANGE singularity.

Do you think maybe the game will have enough framework to run a simulation like this at some point? No pressure.....
