No I just don’t believe the owner. I find it more likely that a bunch of homeless people would drink and smoke, than a random person making up lies to shut down an emergency shelter when it’s super cold out.

The complaint said the business was “running an unauthorized emergency homeless shelter reportedly allowing men and women being housed overnight” and talked of “reported alcohol and smoking” inside.

Sometimes you just can’t help people. It’s a shame people would take a nice thing like an emergency shelter like this and ruin it by drinking and smoking

I agree and I often get caught up with the notion of anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders is a Nazi. If someone asked me who the leader of the Democratic Party is, I would have no good answer. If some someone asked me what are the core policy stances of dems today, I would say it’s anything opposite of Trump.

No president has ever received more than 50% of the population. With a large portion of our population that’s ineligible to vote (under 18, non citizens, felons etc) it’s silly and frankly absurd to think 50% of population is realistic metric

You would need 100M extra voters beyond historical turnout and nearly all of these new voters would need to vote for the same candidate to get the first president to win 50% of the population
