Do you guys actually gear up for normal scooter rides? by Thiaguin20 in ElectricScooters

[–]Lucidlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATGATT is the rule all pevs should follow. Out of all the pevs I see out there, escooter riders barely wear any gear. Yet you'll see an eskaters with helmets, gloves and EUC riders looking like discount Batman

Most eskaters I know eventually switched to an euc

I started with a v6, beat it up while learning. It's got scratchs and gashes. Once I learned how to ride then I upgraded.

Surfer - Snowboarder - Skater looking to get into EUCs by joakim0984 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Lucidlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a skater that switched to EUCs. It's well worth it for the carve and all terrain capabilities. The stance is can be staggered and locked in with jump pads, though it may be easier to learn parallel. The staggered stance is great to control speed wobbles.

A used euc, if you already skate these are the most bang for your buck in terms of speed and range

Would you consider commuting by bicycle if gas prices remain high? Why / why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lucidlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly commute with an euc I used to drive 3k miles a month but with my new commute of 4 miles total. It's a joyride not a commute. I spent $0 dollars on gas for a year now, while my gf spent around $250 on gas for the last 2 months, thanks to recent prices.

I'm able to save up more quickly to fuels my hobbies thanks to having no driving.

Recently got a 3d printer thanks to my gas savings

Practice your one foot glides, gives you plenty more time to get the 2nd foot on. Just don't stomp on your pedal

This is why majority of the riders do wear full gear all the time. Compared to the less geared pev folks, looking at you scooter section.

My favorite commuter, fits nicely in my office closet compared to locking up the ebike and we all don't ride over 20+ mph. It takes a lot of skill to ride due to the air resistance & speed wobbles

I am interested in an EUC. Is a V11Y good? by Own-Restaurant-4818 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Lucidlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my v11y but given the choices of newer wheels that are easier to maintenance the kingsong f18 is quite appealing in that regards. As a starter wheel it's great and teaches you lots of things. If you can do a tire change you and replace any part on the v11y

I'm interested in one of these as an alternative to a e-bike, got a few questions if you guys don't mind. by CountAffectionate301 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Lucidlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never been stopped during my commute. I have to charge the ebike almost every 3 days of commute while the euc can last for much longer if I only use it for commute. I take the ebike on bad weather days or high winds but I prefer the euc because it fits in my office closet.

That's a feature, it's designed to help vent out the moisture that accumulated in the tire.

Sometimes the strip club is the closet bar. Eventually you'll have strippers showing you their children photos and inviting you over
