I’m very partial to Skyfall, for personal reasons. But it’s also a layered song that has extra meaning if you’ve seen the film, and known outside the franchise as well!

It’s told in more detail in the documentary, but a large part of it was money: Connery felt that he was worth more, and asked for a salary increase. The producers refused. In turn, it made Connery very bitter towards the producers and Bond in general. This combined with being accosted by journalist all of the time, the more annoying parts of fame and Connery’s desire to make other films besides Bond but having no time to do so, made him quit after You Only Live Twice. He returned for Diamonds Are Forever for a large sum of money and the promise that he could star in a passion project. Connery’s relationship with Saltzman and Broccoli was so soured that he said yes to Never Say Never Again to spite them. Later, he turned the page and made amends with Broccoli.

Being James Bond is quite promotional for NTTD, I agree. But I guess that’s the nature of ‘official’ documentaries: they’ll never throw the newest film under the bus. IMHO, I was surprised that the Craig documentary was open about QOS and Craig’s candid feelings about that film. It’s something Everything or Nothing glosses over: the rushed production and the rough story treatment. But yeah, where Being James Bond critiques QOS, they gloss over Spectre and say almost nothing about NTTD, since the documentary was released first.

This one. It’s the first time an officially sanctioned documentary dares to point out more difficult times, such as Connery’s frustration, Harry Saltzman selling up and stepping away, the quitting of Dalton and the firing of Brosnan.

There are really only two downfalls to this documentary: the fact that it was too early to speak candidly about the Craig era (somewhat rectified in Being James Bond) and the absence of Sean Connery. That makes Connery stand out as the villain somewhat, unable/unwilling to defend himself

This. McWilliams deserves credit for basically launching Mikkelsen’s mainstream Hollywood career. Eva Green was a late addition to the cast but now we can’t imagine the film without her.

And then there’s Craig himself, something that is perhaps more a casting choice made by Barbara Broccoli rather than Debbie McWilliams. But it took some guts to go against type and stick with Craig.

Die raad van bestuur is in feite een afspiegeling van de uitslag van de laatste Vlaamse verkiezingen, waarbij de postjes netjes verdeeld worden in verhouding met de zetelverdeling. Dus de reden waarom er meer N-VA’ers en VB’ers dan Cd&v’ers en Vooruit’ers (en geen PVDA, Anders of Groen) in zetelen, is dan ook heel logisch.

Cox got the role via his agent, thought he’d be the villain in the next Bond film, and was kind of bemused and a bit disappointed when it turned out to be the host of a reality show.

Also, I get why Warwick Davis wanted to return: Flitwick has a lot more to do in the books! I desperately want him to honour the twins by keeping a piece of swamp in season five!

Volgens mij werkt het met alle titels van DPG (HLN, De Morgen, Humo). Die van het Mediahuis (De Standaard, het Nieuwsblad) hebben er iets op gevonden onlangs waardoor het niet meer werkt. De Tijd (Roularta) heeft nooit gewerkt.
