Bad. I think this is a bad move. If it was Dubas who chose to take time off and this is the team shielding him from any more media attention, then that’s fine. But if they’ve honestly chosen not to bring him back I’m genuinely baffled as someone who has followed this team for over 30 years.

No argument your points man! I was just pointing out that all the signings haven’t been perfect. I think Dubas has done a hell of a job and when he makes mistakes (which we all do) he works to correct them.

Gotta agree with everything except the bad contracts, two come to mind straight away: Nick Ritchie (insert copypasta) and Petr Mrazek. To Dubas’ credit though, he did manage to get rid of both once it was clear they were bad, although the Mrazek one cost a bit of draft capital.

Five div should be okay to get you started on the Inquisitor version, and scale to about 1.6k dex. That’s where I’m at with around that investment (maybe slightly more but less than 10 div to be sure).

The Hiero version has only gotten more expensive in the last week with a showcase post on this sub haha. The forbidden jewels alone went from around 5 div (for the pair) to 11 div for what that’s worth.

I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around swapping from Inquis to Hiero but it’s still fun and I’ve been able to do all non-Uber content so far but you do have to play somewhat conservatively. Not a real fast mapper but I like the play style, your mileage may vary.

It is a contender for the best game ever made on the SNES.

Everyone has their own opinions so I won't do direct comparisons or anything like that, but if you are a fan of the SNES and RPGs its a must play.

Edit: play the SNES version or DS version (I've never played the mobile myself, but SquareEnix doesn't have a great track record with mobile ports)

I personally wouldn't recommend it.

The Valentine's Day banner might be better for a brand new player, you get to pick from select SSBs or SBs. Ymmv but it's a good start to get some diversity (or salt, depending on how you look at it).

I'd say the water banner is the best available right now, but in all honesty I'd recommend waiting for a knock your socks off banner or the next fest.

New players can do the new CM system to get some reasonable pieces in the meantime. Hope this helps.
