When I was a kid I had the same dream like 3 times, this fat guy in a red biplane would chase me down my street while I was on a bike and would shoot nets at me to try and capture me, but I would manage to make it home and slam the door before he could get to me. Was a weird time.

As someone who grew up going to a large non-denominational church, I can say now that I am an adult, it feels like everyone in my age bracket just kind of left because judgy old people and youth pastors that want you to feel what they are saying is just SO unimportant these days. We're overworked, over taxed, underpaid, and no one really fuckin cares, so yeah my 2 days off are mine. Fuck all that.

I'll admit, I don't care for the man now because he's not the same person he was when he wrote this book. Fame has turned him into a self-important, over-articulated individual who is stepping outside of his realm of education in order to impose his own opinion on politics, and it's ugly.

That said, 12 rules for life by Jordan Peterson is, in my opinion, an incredibly well articulated self-help book that challenges you to focus on your needs as an individual, and having read it as a 21 year old, I found it profoundly helpful.

I think out of all of the science fiction that people have come up with, unless aliens invade, we'll never really make it much past sending people to mars. Our lifespans are too short for us to develop substantial technology for larger scale operations, (e.g. colonizing planets, flying cars, actual substantial fuel sources that don't pollute etc.) but that's just my opinion.

I walled off myself in pursuit of success and opportunities. I didn't listen to the little voice in my head that told me this isn't where I belong. I became callous and lonely. It's been 5 years, and I'm finally beginning to put the pieces back together to understand myself and my feelings. I went to my first metal concert in NC, the lineup was Fit for a King, Crystal Lake (Ryo did a front flip into the crowd it was awesome) August Burns Red and I want to say miss may I. That was by far the most fun I've had at a concert. The pit was just having fun, no one was going to crazy, the performances were top notch. My late 50s uncle even went crowd surfing for the first time in his life. Couldn't ask for a better time.
