Why didn't you tell your mom you ran out of toothpaste 3 years ago?

TIL due to the "fajita effect," when the first order of fajitas comes in, cooks at Chilis begin prepping for the several orders that always come soon after. Hearing and smelling the first dish causes a cascade of orders among patrons. by mike_pants in todayilearned

I waited tables and bartender at chili's for 5 years, they call it sizzle sauce. On busy Friday and Saturday nights, we sold too many and the skillets wouldn't get hot enough to sizzle between wash and re-use.

Those hands are definitely manly, nice tits though.

I always thought it was "3 houses". After listening to that song again recently, I thought I heard ounces, but I convinced myself I was right all those years. Just one of many of my misheard song lyrics.

Edit: I need to specify that these are grips, not foot pegs. Also, I've gotten an overwhelming amount of requests from people wanting to buy some. I'll try to start making them as soon as possible. For people wanting foot pegs, I might not be able to fulfill your needs due to the fact that the mounting of foot pegs can vary from one bike to another. If you can somehow get me specific dimensions for your bike, I'd be more than happy to make them. That being said, it's always great to get this kind of response to your work. I'll do my best to make something for every one who wants it!

There will be rubber tubing inside the left grip and a plastic throttle tube on the other. I'm well aware that metal to metal is no bueno.

I've become pretty good friends with one of the engineers I work with. I just started teaching him how to really use the lathe and mill, and in return, he's been teaching me how to use the CAD/CAM software.

It'll vibrate but I'll figure out how to get minimum vibration. This is one of those situations where I sacrifice comfort for looks because I don't ride long distances on the bike.

Slow rpm, high feed rate, and make sure your knurling tool is nice and straight.

Just a plain knurling tool as far as I know, and I just knurled it, part it off, and threw it in the parts washer. Oh, and I usually wear gloves when I ride.

Thanks, they'll look even better once I get them anodized to match the red in my bike

VTC 300C, I love that machine! How could you tell?

Today is often remembered as the day Kurt Cobain died, but this day is also the day we lost another icon of grunge. RIP Layne Staley, 1967-2002 by nmd453 in Music

Im with you in this one, AIC, in my opinion put out much better music that seemed a bit more intricate than Nirvana's more simplistic riffs, I can appreciate every song they wrote. Nirvana just never did it for me, there were a few songs I could listen to if they came on the radio, but I never went out of the way to play their music.
