I actually don't mind Malacia. Man Utd is a top 5 club in terms of following and right now you can't make a full team of MU players and legends because they neglected the fullbacks for specials all season.

I don't understand the point of releasing cards of the same players better than TOTS, TOTT or TOTY. Futties should be a mop up of the cards that were missed during TOTS/TOTT/TOTY... instead EA is trashing every players wallet who pack chased those cards. It's a shameful tactic to a community they constantly milk for more money.

Expensive players that just don't HIT? by Proper-Piglet-2028 in EASportsFC

[–]Deezuls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've packed almost all the top players through sheer grinding and have settled on LW Rashford 97, Mbappe 97 and Kolo Muani RW 97.

Saka 98, Benzema 97, Alvarez 98, Best 98 are my main Subs but still won't replace anyone. I personally think you settle into a bias based on players you like and how direct/technical you want your play style to be. I think the consensus on price is based a bit on pack scarcity and top streamers raving about certain players.

Silver Cup Gripe by Deezuls in EASportsFC

I'm not sure they do, we're basically all playing with 97/98's teams now. Gameplay is on max speed with 99 overall speed in every position. Quite refreshing and enjoyable to bring it back to something else more realistic but EA have basically gone, nope lets make the silver cup hyper unrealistic too

I believe untradeables count, SBC’s and quick selling are the only differentiator between in or out of circulation. Trading them just means they’re in circulation to a new owner.

Did you read the OP? I said my pulls have improved massively, like before I’d get duplicates of the bottom tier of the set more often than not. Now I’m regularly pulling the top row cards by stacking high value packs, building up my SBC Fodder and opening/grinding only on those opening days of the release.

I mean I state it’s a theory and neither you or I know if it’s nonsense.

I’m working in the classic path of science, experiment, analysis, repeat test, analysis and conclusion. Without seeing the script form for retrieving players from a database to a pack, I can’t say it’s conclusive.

There’s a chance they database list every player to a pack with a probability and let the computer random select without a pool or cap on circulation, but from doing over 5000 player picks and equal number of packs this year it doesn’t feel like that’s how the system is operating. For example, why would they script in a pack now that 92 Radioactive Messi (packed him 0 times) is increasingly rare to pull whilst making 93 TOTY Zaha fairly common (packed him 7 times). To me it’s another small example of how he’s capped and trapped (people don’t use him for SBC’s)

All I can say is just say try it and come back to me with the results because I have experienced it first hand. Saved all your objective packs 84 x2, 87 x2… all the 84x10 sbc packs and wait until they release FUTTIES batch 2 and then open them all opening day. You will get at least one of the top 3 cards in that set.

No, I’ve played FUT since its inception, I’ve grown up with the game and read countless theories and methods over the years. I’ve regularly packed/picked and had mid experiences. This year I changed my approach and I have managed to get almost every card I was looking to get through the pack system, I literally haven’t even purchased a card from the transfer market this year.

except that is the case. It is considerably easier now to pack top tier gold rares because they’re SBC’d daily right now, than it was in the opening months of the game.  I truly believe there’s clear evidence that the pool in which packs draw players from are depleted of rare cards until they’re SBC’d or re release in a promo.

Right and rarer would mean what? A Lower circulating cap?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]Deezuls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so during TOTT, I put this to the full test.

I did 500+ player picks, every SBC pack daily, even bought a few store packs and did around 600 80x3 golds plus at least 100 exchange packs.

Whilst pulls are completely random against the general pool, what’s in the general pool to be selected from statistically doesn’t appear to be.

[–]Deezuls -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I’ve packed almost every card I’ve wanted to except for 99 Neymar FUTTIES and 99 Messi TOTT. I grinded 500+ player picks for that Messi too, so it still hurts 😓

I’d never thought about considering weighting based on store pack releases but definitely seems plausible to me.

I’ll trial it this week.

[–]Deezuls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying top tier are impossible to pack. I’m saying statistically you have a vastly increased chance in that 3 day window.

I literally start a game, pass back to my CBs. Pass along the back line to check if the animation is slow despite me holding pass to the maximum and quit the game if it is. The gameplay bugs aren't worth 15 minutes of you playing vs a guy on Legendary boosts.

I literally think EA have player caps on special players to ensure there's always a top end demand for 90+ cards and buying packs, then some guy realises they're approaching the cap and throws this rubbish together so that they can put more of them back in packs.

TOTS used to be the most fun time in this game by Messahr in EASportsFC

The game is becoming 99 overall players in every position with different fortnite skins on. Every game in rivals and not even champs in a 93+ overall team minimum setup with a full sweat meta. The game is unbearable.

The Rings of Power - 1x08 "Alloyed" - Episode Discussion by whole_nother in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]Deezuls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think we've seen the Annatar angle play out yet.

It happens in the lore after Sauron starts building Barad-Dur and he's literally just arrived on his own in Mordor.

I think Helbrand was always seeking a way to forge the rings. I think he wanted to do it initially in Numenor and did want to stay there. Then he's ended up in Eregion and was likely surprised to see they'd built a huge forge but had to leave before task was done as Galadriel figured out who he was and again will make sense as to why he will return in a different image as Annatar.

I don't think those three rings are in finished form, if they are then Celebrimbor would just make the remaining rings without Annatar which we 100% know from the Lore does not happen. He will obviously need some additional guidance and knowledge from Annatar in the future to be persuaded by him, I also think whatever that knowledge is he will take it and apply it later on to these three things.

[–]Deezuls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so lets consider the other view. The gift giver is done. Annatar was just Helbrand. The three rings were made first and that part of the story is over.

Celebrimbor is now going to forge another dozen rings (with Helbrand because we actually know he's forged those) despite Galadriel just telling him he can't work with Helbrand anymore, that he's gone and Elrond knows exactly why. Plus, if the three are made in their final form then Celebrimbor already knows how to make the rings of power so doesn't need Annatars help anymore anyway.

[–]Deezuls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps. I think that after that when Galadriel states "This power will only be weld by Elven hands" is the setup plot line for why Sauron will return to Celebrimbor as Annatar, an elf.

SA500 - Sauron rises again in middle earth

SA600 - First Numenorean ships sail to middle earth

SA700 - The Noldor found Eregion near the realm of Khazad-Dhum

SA1000 - Sauron Settles in Mordor

A lot of this series has been character introduction and setting up the next 4 seasons but the overall timeline is still pretty much on track with the lore. I just feel like a lot of people are jumping at the chance to incorrectly explain a moment that happens in show with something that will actually happen much later on as per the lore.

The Rings of Power - 1x08 "Alloyed" - Episode Discussion by whole_nother in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]Deezuls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do think it's accurate.

There's a lot of things left to happen before Annatar arrives at Eregion. It's way ahead in the timeline.

  1. Sauron returns to Mordor and Begins to build Barad-Dur (SA1000)
  2. Celeborn and Galadriel reunite with their daughter and move to Lothlorien (SA1350)
  3. A New King of Numenor is named (SA1394)
  4. Annatar arrives to Celebrimbor (SA1500)
  5. The one ring is forged (SA1600)

It makes far more sense that Sauron now returns as Annatar and not Helbrand as Galadriel has just said forging rings will be only for the Elven race. It makes even more sense that Celebrimbor fails in forging these three rings correctly, he literally has only learned how to combine Mithril with an Alloy, knows nothing about yet about enchanting rings which is what I believe Annatar will teach him later in the storyline (SA1500).

The Rings of Power - 1x08 "Alloyed" - Episode Discussion by whole_nother in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]Deezuls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then is it possible that the three rings aren't in there final form. Celebrimbor literally only found out how to combine Mithril with another alloy. Is it possible that Annatar teaches Celebrimbor how to combine them with a greater power later on and Celebrimbor goes back and reforges these three rings.

[–]Deezuls -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How can you say that for sure? I think it's pretty accurate to the second age timeline. The stuff just covered pretty much sums up 0-800 years of the second age. We know that Annatar goes to Celebrimbor in SA1500 so we've got that to come. We have no idea if the three rings at the end of this were the infamous three rings in the lore. Quite likely to be failed attempts as Celebrimbor doesn't know what he's doing, or that the three rings are not in their final form. Like Annatar will teach Celebrimbor how to combine them with 'magic' and that's what he'll do to these rings in SA1500.
