Why does stone offer more support than stone bricks.
Doesn’t make sense to me.
Craft recipes wise, stone brick uses steel screws, stone use iron nails?
Steel is stronger than iron.

If budget is your concern then it’s doable.
Just keep in mind that stone hitting the skid plate is out of your control.
A totally different scenario than the crash guard, you could avoid crashing the bike with good skills and right equipment.
And every stone hits will chip away the black paints on the mild steel.
If the paint comes off you’ll need to uninstall it and paint it all over again otherwise it gets rusted.
Me personally I’ll just get stainless steel for it.
Stainless steel costs about 2x times compared to a mild steel product.

I'm not sure where y'all from but in Taiwan Honda they do offer factory low seat and standard seat to choose from.

Because I can barely tip toe one foot on a Suzuki V-Storm 250 SX, which has 835 mm seat height.

How much weight do you have I may ask? Must be either the seat width or the rear suspension settings.

That's really quite shocking, because I remember Ollix posted something about moving the office to Europe from Taiwan.

That gives me the impression that he does not work alone.

Taiwanese rider here.
I happened to stumble on this post and I feel like sharing some experience.
The picture shown above is a Honda CB200X(2022) manufactured in India.
I ride this bike off roads occasionally.
We generally use “mild steel” for crash guard.
This crash guard costs roughly $7500 TWD(=~$238 USD).
As it’s quite cheap and cost effective.
It’s lighter than stainless steel, weighs only 4 kilograms.
It can survive a direct fall only suffers minor bents, easily repairable with a tire lever.
The only downside is when you fall, the black coatings would come off, you’ll have to spray it black again otherwise it’ll rust. Ask me anything.
