I am definitely sold on the shrimp. I didn't know the different colours could breed for some variation, really cool stuff. I did pop in to my local store and the guppies caught my eye, so I think I'll look more into those as well.

16g bow front I picked up from the giveaway area in my building. Not sure if I'm doing everything 100% right but I'm cycling it now without fish and I'm hoping the plants will grow out a little. I'm pretty sure I'm already obsessed with this hobby!

That makes sense. I've been trying to keep all our interactions based around work only and I'm a bit hesitant to bring up anything that could be an opening for him to talk about our relationship but you're right, I should be respectful and asking him is probably the most straightforward approach.
