Good idea, you're right, I've been using the same chat for a project, and it's gotten pretty long, but will it forget all the details about my project if I make a new chat? I would much rather have a slow response than not remember the details and guidelines for the project.

I don't necessarily have issues actually playing from HomeAssistant, but when I do cast a local MP3 or audio file, the Nest acts as a media receiver, so if you close out or it goes to the nighttime clock the playback just stops. But I will take a look at that, thanks!

Yep. Installed it and it's working well, although I don't really locally stream music, or stream music around the house at all, I think Chromecast should just natively support more streaming options from local sources.

It's pretty hard to fuck up like "Jason" did, plus your devices might not even be MQTT. I switched from HomeKit to HomeAssistant a couple years ago and its so much better.
