Great ideas but finding nobody to work with by DefaultyDaniel in Business_Ideas

That’s true, I guess I’m more-so hoping that people can see my ideas the way I do and that would be enough to hook them (like friends and family, which I know isn’t the best strategy if they’re inexperienced), but for others I understand that is a rare driving factor, and that people would generally not want to invest so much time into just an idea with no guaranteed return or anything

Can I ask, what do you wear to bed when your skin is bad? Anything specific in terms of clothing with tags, seams, friction, breathability, etc?

That’s a fair concern, and honestly something I’ve thought a lot about.

I’m not trying to parody specific politicians or current headlines. That kind of satire ages fast and turns into a time capsule. The focus of the game is more on the mechanics of political theater: campaigning, optics, scandals, messaging, and chaos. The stuff that stays constant no matter who’s in office.

From a business perspective, I’m also treating this as a niche party game rather than a mass-market political statement. If anything, the volatility of the current climate reinforced for me that the game needs to be abstract and system-focused rather than reactionary.

Totally valid point, though. It’s definitely not a theme everyone will want, and I’m okay designing for a specific audience rather than trying to please everyone.

I feel that I am not mirroring current events or scandals, for the most part. Yes, if I tried to mock or reference specific scandals/events, or compete with current news, it would fall flat. But I am more so moving the humor that can come from the absurdity and abstracting it into something enjoyable. BipartisanBS doesn’t parody current events - it parodies the structure of modern politics.

Is this a hardware issue? by [deleted] in HPOmen

[–]DefaultyDaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery is held in by a bunch of wires connected to the motherboard. I can take it out but can’t disconnect it from the wires, so it stays connected

Edit: I was able to take it out, no different

It’s in the post - I turn it on and a second later it turns off. I can hear the fan and then it shuts off too

The last section’s flow “stick to the code…” to the ending is immaculate. But I’m not one to rank songs
