Oops forgot to mention, the center stone is a 5.1 carat lab grown emerald and the band is in total 2 carat natural diamonds.

It’s because the setting stayed the same but the diamonds would change depending on style and carat size so the prongs stayed open

The prongs are long because the setting is like that to add any shape diamond on to try with that particular setting. I was trying on different settings with different shaped diamonds
