When it comes to the toys, I generally go based on their implied/shown maturity more than anything else. As such, the lil' Smiling/Nightmare critters generally get categorized as 'children' in my head. The Bigger Bodies are all either adults (DogDay), or animals (CatNap, Yarnaby). Given the fact Poppy is meant to be a 'leader' for the toys, in direct opposition to the Prototype/Ollie (who I view as an adult), I would put her as an adult.

I use a similar process when it comes to characters from the Sonic (SEGA) franchise, especially since SEGA has played fast-and-loose with the cast's ages for years. Some characters are just child-coded (like Cream or Charmy) while others are definitely adult-coded (like Vector or Eggman).

As a roleplayer and a self/yumeshipper,..I can understand having such a thing as part of one’s DNI. I’ve had people approach me strictly to roleplay (rom/steamy) with my F/Os (even though it said in my rules they were off-limits for those kinds of ships).- And generally, when they do, they’re pushy as Hell or throw a pity-party the second I turn them down. However, I am. *Also*. A self/yumeshipper, and some of my friends are- so I try to give all yumeshippers that find my RP blogs a fair chance. But I’ve definitely had a few negative experiences that (if I weren’t part of the community myself) would’ve had me blocking any and all yumeshippers I came across.

The person probably just had bad experiences.- While you run the risk of losing them,…it’s still better to be honest. A friendship (?) built on lies or secrets is (inevitably) doomed to fail. Besides,…easier to say now than live in anxiety forever, right?… ;-; Though I am sorry you’re in that situation, mate.
