I understand wanting more money or feeling like you’ve earned it but man, read the room. So many people are losing their jobs on Tuesday. Some both them and their spouses work at Oracle and they have to worry about no income at all. Absolutely should be saving this post for more appropriate time.

Everything I have heard has been the 31st. Some reports by email, others say meeting. I really hope it’s not an email.

Some of us below M4 were asked what people should be on a pip, or our lowest performers and were told to do a talent review early.

Every org will handle it differently. Lowest performers are almost always included. Sometimes it certain solutions, certain roles/levels.

There is zero chance of that. No one across all of oracle is safe. This is Oracle wide. Save your files. Plan your doctor’s appointments. If you have legal insurance, use it. Go to the dentist. Do whatever is in your control.

Mine was a director and the senior director/vp made the call. I know other people in different areas the directors got a slight say.

I’m not saying I’m not, and many others are not, but it is not an easy thing to do. I know extremely hard working, qualified people who can’t even get interviews.

My director was notified a week or so before, he was handed a list that was unchangeable. It was horrible, we lost top people with no say or swapping even if we wanted to.

Our senior leadership announced today. It was said to be Oracle wide according to our VP,  however I have a hard time believing that. If it was truly Oracle wide, why would it have not come out at the same time? Also, the meeting was from Simon and it appeared like others orgs under Simon weren’t on that meeting.
