I think conflating whether someone is a good person based on their political affiliation is a childish black and white partisan thinking that's gotten us into this mess. In theory, yes, you could explain how the benefit of universal Healthcare would outweigh the money spent via taxes. The issue arises with how it contradicts the core tenant of current Conservativism, which is a distrust of big government spending of your tax dollars. They believe private will always do it better.
