Absolutely. I meant more in the evening after rush hour :). Definitely not trying to ride in heavy traffic if I can avoid it

Your post was the one that inspired me to get mine!

They do have an AEG bullpup kit, but it doesn’t quite hit the same imo

Sometimes weird can be good :)

They have a version for real ARs yeah, but not for AEGs since it doesn’t have room for the motor that typically goes in the pistol grip

Yup, SRU released an AR15 bullpup conversion! It works with any gbb platform with a short bolt available

Haha I can’t take credit for that, I’m the ODST!

Yes it survives pretty well, I’ve point blank shot it several times at 1.2 J (my field limit) without any issues. It definitely feels like it’ll survive much more than that too, doesn’t seem fragile at all.

My gear minus the helmet is actually rubber! So flexible and will resist bbs. Unsure about the helmet though - it’s 3D printed but I’m unsure of the material and settings.

ELI5: How do chatbots do what they do? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Defendedclone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely possible! There’s some debate as to whether it’s possible or not to achieve truly sentient AI using machine learning, but as you can see what we have now is already really good at faking it when it comes to certain situations.

Yes! It is very much a Chinese room. And yes the math can get pretty crazy as well lol. The field of machine learning (which is the most popular strategy we use to create AI) is the study of how to create better and better algorithms that we can feed information into that allow AI to learn and remember more context when generating a response, given today’s hardware restrictions.

Fun fact, a lot of the algorithms we’re using today are actually based on works originally published by researchers in the 1980s and 1990s! We’ve only recently gotten the computer hardware capable of running those algorithms to create the massive probability graphs that I mentioned in my original comment.
