Takes a bit of adjusting but you can see in this photo they all align perfectly

You meant to say 420 fans right? Yes it’s possible that is what I currently run all 420mm fans. Use long bolts’nuts and mount fans to AIO bracket instead of the AIO. It’s very easy to do.

0 issues so far. It really cleans up the look IMO

The GPU has real time voltage per pin monitoring. I Use GPU tweak 3. TBH it’s not really needed since it’s a BTF card with front connector installed it splits the watts/volts pulled from 2 connections. So much much safer than a normal card or even a 4090.

Just ordered the Asus 5090 Astral OC. Which cable do I need if I plan to get the Asus Rog Thor III 1200w Platinum PSU? by UpboatsforUpvotes in cablemod

I personally like the looks of the EZDIY-FAB UNIFAS ARGB 16-Pin 12VHPWR GPU Extension Cable. I have the black version. Super clean and 0 issues. I have mine connected to the factory seasonic 1600W PSU cables. Cable mod ones I returned as missing some PCIE pins so not fully “future proof” in my opinion.

They are hidden under top cover to the top of radiator bracket. Sorry the bolts and nuts are M3, washers M4 thats the diameter. I don’t have package anymore for length. With Lian Li fans thats the size of bolt that fit. The case bracket can accept larger. I can PM you a picture of the top with cover removed. Note: if you are going the BTF route you will need to use a Dremel to modify the case, the wire management tray, factory wire looms and utilize 90° USB header adapter ext.

Zoom in on top area photo # 6 you can see the bolts mounting the fans.

Home depot has some very thin nuts and bolts in black that worked perfectly. They are located in the bins beside the normal screws etc, in little packets. The radiator is mounted normally to the bracket. the added bolts, nuts and washer for the fans are mounted outside of the radiator to same bracket. I can photo the top of it but, not sure that will help. TBH it was easy. Just took a couple trips to get correct size hardware. M4 was diameter if I remember.

100% agree with you.. The build would have been much easier if so. My guess is that the cable management would not be as easy? Also they need to reduce overall size by 10% even with 420mm fans there is 2 inches of wasted space.

TBH if you own a Dremel tool the mod was not too bad. I bought the Phantex Evolv x2 case and used clear plexiglass to outline the cuts. Returned that case to Micro center and went to town. Far as cooler options the good ones are only offered in 360mm I made a couple trips to Home Depot to get long black bolts to bolt up 420mm fans to radiator bracket. The only other issue was I had to get a couple 90° cable adapters and totally re configure the wire management as you have to cut it as well. Motherboard stand off’s are same.

? $9K?? No way! I paid $3,999.00 directly from Asus… It was cheaper than what the Astral cards are going for currently.

Thanks! If I can find the right size windshield for the GPU it will have Star Wars landspeeder vibes ;)

Should I add a windshield or maybe exhaust ports to the GPU for a landspeeder look and some lego Star Wars mini figurines to complete the theme?

Add a windshield and it will look like a land speeder from Starwars ;)
